長毛兔的飼喂制度，通常可分為自由采食和限量飼喂兩種。目前，我國養(yǎng)兔大多采用定時(shí)定量 ― 限量飼喂方式，按照不同兔的營養(yǎng)需要和季節(jié)特點(diǎn)，定出飼養(yǎng)管理的操作日程，每天的飼喂次數(shù)、時(shí)間及喂量都要保持相對(duì)穩(wěn)定，不能忽早忽遲，也不能饑飽不均。

一看兔體大小投料，不能一律對(duì)待。一般體型大的成年兔投料要多些，青年兔、幼兔要適當(dāng)少些，青粗飼料應(yīng)按季節(jié)搭配喂用。

二看兔子肥瘦程度投料。較肥的兔子應(yīng)適當(dāng)減少精料，增喂青粗飼料；瘦弱兔子應(yīng)多喂精料，適當(dāng)補(bǔ)喂一些浸泡、煮熟的黃豆或搗碎的豆渣。
